You can add friends to this list by entering their e-mail or BattleTag into the display box. Once you’ve added a friend, you’ll see their status (whether they’re online or offline, and whether they’re free or busy) in this pane. Click on a friend’s name to highlight them, and then click the "Chat" button to send them a message. Set your own status in the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the window, letting other players know whether you’re available for a game or busy! Inviting Friends You can also invite them to join your game from this window by clicking the "Invite to Party" button. If you’re already playing by yourself and you’d like to invite others to join your game, it’s simple. While playing Diablo III, you can make your game public by opening the Game Menu with "ESC" and choosing “Open Game to Public”). You can also ask people you know to accompany you on a quest. In-game, open your Social menu, find the friend you’d like to invite, and click the "Invite to Party" button next to their name. If they’re playing Diablo III, they’ll receive an invite, and if they accept it, they’ll enter your game.
